About Louise
I've had my own horses since I was young and over these many years they have taught me a lot.
Then I had a really nasty fall from my current horse when he was scared by a lorry while we were out on a hack. After the accident my horse was a nervous wreck and I was not much better but we both started to receive Shiatsu and I could see and feel the huge difference it made to us both.
So I decided to train in Equine Shiatsu and have been working as a fully qualified Equine Shiatsu Practitioner since May 2006. I am a practitioner member of the Equine Shiatsu Association as well as being fully insured for the work I do.
I am now training to become an Equine Shiatsu teacher with the Hands on Horses School in Bedfordshire, and have also started training to be able to Shiatsu people – this is another three years study on top of the studying I did for the Equine Shiatsu. I’m always on the look out for human volunteers to practice on so if you would like to experience Shiatsu for yourself, please ask!
My ultimate aim is to be able to help horse and rider to work together to the best of their abilities.
