Shiatsu is a style of bodywork therapy that comes to us via Japan, but has its roots deep in the ancient health practices developed in China. The Chinese, for example, have been practicing acupuncture on horses for around 3,000 years.

The Shiatsu practitioner training programme is underpinned by a thorough understanding of the principles and theory of equine Shiatsu and their application to the horse. Implicit in the use of equine Shiatsu is the ability to read, interpret and respond to equine language.

Our teachers are highly experienced in working with students of all ages and abilities, and their ethos is to focus students' enthusiasm for horses into methods of care that can greatly improve the well being and quality of life of horses.
